THE TRANS-SIBERIAN EXPRESS

A Travesty

PRODUCTION DETAILS

This work began life with an idea I had about a train crash involving a group of artists. Initially at the Pyramid Club, and eventually as a fully staged ballet for Larry Ree’s Original Trockadero Gloxinia Ballet Company, at La MaMa in 1987. Directed and Choreographed by John Kelly; Music by Carl Maria Von Weber, Bernard Herrmann, Modest Mussorgsky, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. WITH: Madame Ekathrina Sobechanskaya (The Ballerina); Richard Hoffman (Bolshevik); Elizabeth Bin-Wa (the Maid); and The Company.
